VERDA Year End Awards Program
VERDA’s awards program is unique in that it includes ALL AERC and ECTRA-sanctioned rides held in the state of Vermont, not just the rides put on by the club. To include:
VERDA calendar rides and drives
GMHA calendar rides and drives (specific to Endurance/CTR)
The iconic Vermont 100

The high scoring rider of each of the Vermont rides will be recognized. This is not necessarily the winner of the ride.

The high scoring driver of each of the Vermont drives will be recognized. This is not necessarily the winner of the drive.

Top 6 placings of cumulative points of all VT rides.

Top 6 placings of cumulative miles of all VT rides.

Top 6 placings of cumulative points of all VT rides.

We offer an award for the high point Morgan, high point Arab, and high point unregistered horse of the year.

The driver who successfully completed the most driving miles of all VT drives.

The driving horse who successfully completed the most driving miles of all VT drives.

The VERDA Sportsmanship Award recognizes an individual who consistently demonstrates exceptional character, integrity, and respect within the equestrian community. This award honors a member who exemplifies fairness, kindness, and ethical conduct in all aspects of participation.
Recipients show respect for horses, competitors, volunteers, and officials; maintain a positive and encouraging attitude regardless of results; and compete with honesty and humility. They lead by example, support fellow members—especially new or junior participants—and contribute to a welcoming, supportive VERDA community.
This award celebrates the spirit of VERDA and the values that strengthen the sport beyond competition results.
